What Is Black-Hair?

When people refer to black-hair, it is usually the hair of Blacks, which can be curly or kinky. It's also a lot thicker than other types of hair. It grows half an inch per month, but can grow faster or slower depending on your genes and health.

Black hair has an interesting history as a symbol for culture, survival, and resistance. It has also been a source of beauty for many, but it is often subject to criticism in a society that upholds Eurocentric aesthetics. This can lead discrimination in the workplace, education and public spaces.

Each person has their own relationship with hair, whether it is straightened, permed or natural. It may take more effort to maintain than straight hair but that doesn't mean it is less beautiful. It is important to celebrate black hair as well as all other aspects of Black identity.

It's not about having the fanciest or straightest hair; it's about loving your hair and being proud of who you are. Afro-textured hair has a unique beauty that shouldn't be ignored.
